This game gets photographers who want to find new and unique things to photograph to find truly random spots

The Photography Edition of the Getting Lost Game caters to all types of photographers with "just for fun" directions on one side for those shooting on their phone and "pro" directions on the other side for those shooting with cameras with manual settings.

We'll chart your course based on the number of photos you've taken, the colour and type of those photos (and pro's we'll throw in some directions based on your shutter speed, ISO and aperture) as well as the weather and features you can find. Once at your location, we'll have you using different photographic techniques to practice your skills and photograph things in interesting ways.

The Photography Edition can be played walking or driving - if you are walking and a direction tells you to head a certain number of km, just change this to meters

The Photography Edition is made with the help of our amazing Getting Lost community of photographers. We've had hundreds of suggestions for this game. As with all our games we get ideas and feedback from our Getting Lost crew on Facebook, subscribers to our e-mails, purchasers and players of our games.

Our cards measures 91mm x 55mm. They have misdirection cards on one side and NZ and Australian locations (known as our inspiration cards) on the other side. All these locations can be found on our blog so its perfect for a little holiday inspiration and dreaming.

Want to customise your game? You can add mini compass or grab one of our suitcases in your favourite colour. Our suitcases fit 45 cards and are great for combining packs and taking them out and about.

Lost and loving it!

What a great idea! My hubby and I enjoy photography and not a week goes by without at least one outing with the camera. With wetlands at the end of our street and the beach a walk away, and beautiful scenery and history steeped towns a short drive away, it would seem we’re in a photographer’s paradise. Well, this little pack of cards is the icing on the cake! The cards take you on a delightful, adventurous and creative journey. From just half an hour through to a whole day of fun, the cards encourage you to take a detailed look, plan your photo, discover new places, take arty shots, enjoy the journey, and get more comfortable with camera settings (other than ‘auto’).

Changed our perspective

A friend joined me exploring Central Hawkes Bay. A walk by the river opened our eyes to more than just the requested reflections. Capturing shadows in unique ways at our next stop. Then finding superb images in a museum town attraction. We've only just begun exploring with this superb pack to guide us.

Getting Lost - Photography Edition

This was purchased as a gift for a budding young photographer - it was given to them as a birthday present & they were very excited when opening the gift & realising what it was - I'm sure it will be enjoyed very much.

Awesome fun

My nephew and I jumped in the car and had an absolute blast with my phone camera in hand. We also had the basketball so stopped at any courts we found along the way. We found a few new ones to his delight. We loved the challenge of spelling his name … it might have been the shorter of the two names but it did throw up some challenges. We loved spinning around and taking a photo and we enjoyed getting close to buildings and how they might change depending on the angle we shot from. Ten photos at an attraction really got us thinking - we even have one of the rubbish bin. It was a great way to spend a day in the holidays. Thanks team!!!!

Oh you are making me so envious! I'm itching to get out and play this edition again myself!
